Location

The airport, which went into operation in 1961, is located approximately 6 kilometers southeast of the city center, in the Bole district. A shuttle bus service to the city center is currently only offered by Ethiopian Airlines for its passengers. Otherwise, arrival and onward travel is only possible with a minibus to “Piazza Mercato” or with a car/taxi/rental car.
