Bob Hope Airport Code

Bob Hope Airport (BUR) is located in Burbank, California and serves the Greater Los Angeles area. It was originally named the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport and opened in 1930. Over the next few decades, it served as a hub for commercial flights, military operations, and even private aircrafts. In 1967, the airport was renamed Bob Hope Airport in honor of the legendary entertainer who had been born in nearby Eltham.

In recent years, Bob Hope Airport has become a major hub for air travel across Southern California. The airport offers commercial flights to major cities across the US as well as international destinations. It is also home to two aviation museums which showcase vintage aircrafts and artifacts from throughout aviation history. Additionally, the airport has seen an increase in private jets and helicopters using its runways due to its proximity to Hollywood and other popular destinations throughout Los Angeles County.
