What is UFO?
UFO is the acronym of Unidentified Flying Object, widely used as synonymous with “flying saucers” or “extraterrestrial ships”.
The term UFO is assigned to any form of object that flies, but which has its nature or origin unknown. When an unidentified flying object is spotted, UFO specialists conduct a series of analysis and investigations to try to discover the origin of the unknown phenomenon. If the object is identified (such as a balloon, plane, satellite or any other object produced from known sources), the object is no longer classified as UFO.
Thousands of people around the world claim to have sighted UFOs, many of these sightings were recorded through photographs or filming, raising a big argument around the likelihood of intelligent life being on Earth.
Due to the immense amount of information and testimonies of UFOs, the Ufology appeared – study of all hypotheses, evidences or visual records of the Unidentified Flying Objects. UFO researchers are researchers, scientists and scholars who are dedicated to analyzing UFO histories and records.
