Competition in the GSM

The GSM has as a competitor to the CDMA network. In this case, a disadvantage from the point of view of the GSM is based on TDMA network, while the CDMA network is more advanced.

Another disadvantage is its capacity for calls that is more limited than in the CDMA, allowing up to ten on the same channel, related to the distribution of unique codes.

But despite this, the performance of the phones is quite similar.

The advantage of GSM is its ability to maintain compatibility with the GSM phones original.
