It was the first commercial airport in Sonoma County and served as a hub for local air travel. The airport was later renamed after Charles Monroe Schulz, the creator of the beloved comic strip Peanuts. It is located on Santa Rosa’s Eastside, just a few miles from downtown Santa Rosa.
