Vernal Regional Airport Code

Vernal Regional Airport, also known as Vernal-Uintah County Airport, was established in 1961 and is located just north of Vernal, Utah. It is owned and operated by Uintah County and serves the cities of Vernal, Roosevelt, and Myton. The airport features two runways: a 4,000-foot primary runway and a 2,400-foot secondary runway. The airport provides service to commercial airlines as well as private aircraft.

In the early days of the airport’s operation, it only had one runway for both commercial and private aircraft. This caused frequent delays for flights due to the lack of space available for take-off or landing. In 1985, the second runway was added in order to alleviate this problem. This allowed commercial flights to depart on time without having to wait for a private aircraft to land or take off first. Since then, the airport has experienced steady growth in passenger numbers and services offered. Today, it serves as an important hub for travel in northeastern Utah with direct flights to Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) as well as other regional airports. There are also several charter services that offer service from Vernal Regional Airport including air ambulance services and private charter companies.

VEL is the abbreviation code for Vernal Regional Airport. According to Abbreviation Finder, VEL can also mean:
